Overview

*THIS IS A TEMPORARY POSITION*

 

POSITION PURPOSE:

 

Responsible for accuracy and timeliness of functions supporting employee payroll. Performs both manual and computer-based record-keeping duties. Informs Office Manager of discrepancies and concerns. Supports Payroll team initiative of providing timely customer service to our client groups.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

 

- Process new hire paperwork.

- Create and maintain employee personnel files, W-4s, I-9

- Evaluate and maintain the accuracy of employee data in Oracle including, but not limited to: Cost centers ,Pay rates ,      Location changes, Tax information, Job changes, Pay changes, Direct deposit accounts, Payroll deductions

- Assists in pulling payroll/employee information for audits pertaining to HR functions.

 

OTHER DUTIES:

 

- Performs general clerical work including filing, archiving, copying, mailings, deliveries, vendor inquiries etc.

- Performs other duties as assigned

 

Minimum Pay: $15.19

Midpoint Pay: $18.99

Maximum Pay: $22.79

 

JOB SPECIFICATIONS KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

 

- Expert ability to handle confidential, sensitive and critical issues with demonstrated history of a commitment to ethics, honesty, integrity and credibility.

- Solid interpersonal and written/oral communication skills with the ability to relate well and cooperate with others to effectively coordinate activities and accomplish goals.

- Solid ability to learn quickly, solve complex problems with simple solutions and generate innovative ideas in order to improve the business.

- Solid ability to think strategically and problem solve through conceptual thinking, analytical and planning skills.

- Solid understanding of how their work the team and the company’s performance.

 

EDUCATION: 

 

Associate’s Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.

 

EXPERIENCE:

 

- Minimum of two (2) years payroll experience required.

- Minimum of four (4) years payroll experience may be substituted for previously stated education and experience.

 

SUPERVISOR RESPONSIBILITY:

 

No Supervisor responsibility.

 

WORKING CONDITIONS:

 

Work in performed in a normal office environment. Does not require physical activity other than that typically utilized in such a setting, working with standard office equipment (such as copier, phone, fax and personal computer). Light physical effort required by handling objects up to 20 pounds occasionally and/or up to 10 pounds frequently. Overtime work is possible and may be expected in order to perform the essential functions of the position.
